Mmmmmm...Did you say pizza?

As I said yesterday I love pizza on a cold day! So today I have chosen to share my recipe with you so you can enjoy home made pizza as well. I make the crust from scratch but you can always buy the premade ones if you don't have energy time to make them. As always remember these are the recipes my family enjoys but they are easily able to be tweaked to suit your families tastes. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Crust Recipe

1 Pkg. of active dry yeast
¾ Cup warm water (105˚-115˚F)
½ Tsp sugar
½ Tsp salt
2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
2 cups of all-purpose flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in sugar, salt oil and 1¾-cup flour. Turn onto a well-floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. (Knead enough of the remaining flour to prevent sticking.)

Divide dough into halves. Roll dough until it is large enough to cover a greased cookie sheet and then pat onto sheet with lightly floured fingers. Spread with toppings and bake in 425˚ oven until cheese is bubbly and crust is brown.

Toppings we love

All Meat Pizza

1 can pizza sauce or one can of tomato sauce mixed with 1 clove garlic, 1/2 tsp basil, and 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 pkg of pepperoni
1 lb browned Jimmy Dean sausage
6 slices bacon-cooked and crumbled
2 cups shredded cheese

Spread pizza sauce on crust, add toppings, cover with cheese and cook as stated above. This pizza is also really good with sliced olives and mushrooms as well. When done, slice, eat and enjoy!!!
