Cooking When Injured

So y'all, last night I sliced my pinkie open and it cut to the bone-right about where it attaches to the hand. OUCH!!!!!!! I was putting some ice in a glass and the glass shattered...and no, the glass wasn't hot, warm anything, I just took it out of the cupboard. FFF Hubby was working so I didn't go to the hospital and my pinkie is still attached today. I have it sterile and covered. It still hurts like crazy and I'm typing with one less finger...well doing everything with one less finger. Who knew how much we use our pinkie fingers?!
This poses a problem for cooking but alas! I came up with a solution (besides fast food)...my crock pot of course! Currently I have chicken breasts, cream of mushroom soup, Marsala wine and mushrooms cooking in the crock. It smells delicious and I'll make some noodles and steamed cauliflower to go with it! And the best part is the whole dinner will be under 500 calories a serving! I will be posting the full recipe as well as our review on Thursday. But let me know if you try it before then! I am so tired today...partially because my pinkie is trying to heal and partially because I didn't get much sleep because it hurt. But, you see, you can cook a delicious and healthy dinner when you are injured. Now cleaning is another story...

Poor baby...I often experience food prep related injuries. I think they should qualify for workers compensation (LOL).
Hope you're on the mend soon....
