Happy Monday y'all!! I have a serious case of the Monday blahs today! After a fun spring break week followed by a busy Easter weekend I'm having a hard time getting back into the swing of things! I have BBQ Chicken going in the crock pot and will make rice and veggies to go along with it. Housework is coming along and the girls and I will make pink lemonade cupcakes as well.
In The Friday Five last week I posted a picture of cereal treat Easter Eggs. Well we did make some and they were delicious. Although I used Marshmallow Peeps instead of marshmallows but they were fun and delicious!
There the peeps are melting away! It felt a little wrong melting them into goo! But looked so yummy! The treats tasted sweeter than the usual ones though.
Don't those look yummy? Well I share the recipe with you and you can put all those plastic eggs you still have and those peeps to some good use!
Marshmallow Egg Treats
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 35 Peeps
- 6 cups cereal~I used Fruity Pebbles
Directions
- In a large pan melt butter using medium heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
- Pour in the cereal and mix until it's covered.
- Spray plastic eggs with cooking spray. You could just use 1 or 2 eggs for this process as the cereal does not take long to take the shape of the egg.
- Spoon the cereal mixture into each half of the egg then close egg to form shape. Pop cereal out after about 10 seconds.
- Enjoy :)
So now you know what to do with those eggs and Peeps! I hope you had a fabulous Easter Weekend!
